About the Job:
Provides interpretation, translation, and cultural education for Spanish-speaking patients and their companions throughout the Elliot Health System (EHS) in an effort to increase patient accessibility to high quality medical care and ancillary services.

Who You Are:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Medical terminology courses preferred.
- Certificate of Medical Interpreter Training Program required. National Interpreter certification preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of related experience working in a medical interpreter position required.
- Ability to fluently speak English and Spanish required. Ability to accurately translate medical terminology (verbal and written) required.
- Involves the exercise of judgment in the analysis of facts and conditions regarding individual problems or transactions to determine what actions should be taken within the limits of standard practice.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; strong social skills; strong organizational skills. Requires the ability to plan and perform diversified duties requiring an extensive knowledge of a particular field and the use of a wide range of procedures.
