About the Job:

As a member of the Surgical Services team, and in collaboration with the surgical services team, monitors and directs sterile processing staff and manages the day-to-day activities of instrument processing to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of high-quality standards in the Sterile Processing Department. Supervisor participates in preparation, administration, and monitoring of the budget process. Carries out sterile processing functions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collect used supplies for decontamination, package instruments and equipment, and sterilize instruments using manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Participate in the monitoring/control or OR inventory.
  • Collaborate with the manger in the hiring, evaluating, training, and counseling of staff.
  • Supervise day-to-day operations to maintain productivity and adhere to policies, guidelines, and procedures.

Who You Are:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three to five years of progressive Sterile Processing Department experience required.
  • Two years of leadership experience in a direct supervisory position preferred.
  • Sterile Processing Certification within one year of hire required. 
  • Specialty certification through IAHCSAMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Services Material Management) preferred.
