The Elliot VNA - Home Health and Hospice Account Mgr, Business Development - Full Time

To build, establish and maintain strong referral relationships with physicians and physician practices, skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, hospital and discharge case managers, and the community ensuring all patients who would require and benefit from VNA services have access to those services. Promotes and educates about all VNA programs and services.

Essential Job Functions

• Establishes and maintains the role of key agency contact for all stakeholders and referral sources.

• Collaborates with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within the territory

• Generates new business using current and potential customer networks

• Prepares comprehensive and educational offerings and presents to the customer network

• Attends community events as a sales representative of The Elliot VNA

• Analyzes, interprets, and takes actionable steps regarding fluctuating market data • Increases volume of home health and hospice referrals by building long-term relationships and ensuring excellent customer service.

• Serves as SME for home health and hospice services to potential patients and family members.

• Determines appropriateness of homecare referrals; gathers pertinent clinical information and coordinates and conducts preadmission activities for homecare.

• Increases accessibility to homecare and hospice services through effective communication with the HC and hospice clinical team.

• Updates and maintains customer and competitor profiles/ accounts. Logs daily call activity, and documents plans for follow up activities with referral sources.

• Monitors ongoing sales metrics (i.e., monthly and quarterly sales results with corresponding targets.

• Prepares reports on account status and shares with the team. • Makes regular site visits to facilitate referral coordination.

• Works with Director to develop and implement a plan to enhance all VNA services and grow referral volume to VNA.

• Identifies new services to address the needs of customers and provides education to referral sources regarding services.

• Identifies problems and adverse referral situations; and works collaboratively with referral sources and agency staff to correct same.

• Takes a lead role in any customer service and/or quality improvement efforts derived from customer satisfaction surveys or client concerns.

• Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of all VNA services and provides education to staff and physicians as needed.

• Collaborates with hospital, ALF, SNF and VNA staff to effectively transition patients to VNA services.

• Valid driver’s license required and must be maintained throughout duration of appointment in position. Motor vehicle background report will be conducted. Must maintain automobile insurance coverage at established EHS minimum throughout duration of employment required.

Position Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors Degree in Sales and Marketing or equivalent; Equivalent experience in lieu of Bachelor's Degree preferred

Experience: Two (2) years of experience in sales and marketing with a proven track record required. Experience in preparing and providing education programs preferred. Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience working in Home Health and Hospice preferred.

Skills: Must possess strong analytical, strategic, and creative problem-solving skills

Abilities: Ability to uncover and pursue business opportunities that are aligned with long term business goals. Ability to execute sales plan, use professional selling skills and have territory management strategies necessary to build all service lines of VNA. Ability to present a professional image in appearance and demonstrate a mature, self-confident attitude and demeanor. Ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships with identified referral sources in service area.
