About the Job:

The Supervisor role is essential to Elliot Health Systems initiative to enhance patient access across all practices, specialties, and departments. The Prior Authorization Access Center supervisor provides leadership and support to front-line coordinators and support staff, ensuring that patients' needs are addressed promptly and efficiently, with a high standard of service. Under the general direction of the Access and Command Center Manager/Director, the Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the Prior Authorization team. This team serves as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies. It facilitates the smooth delivery of medical services and ensures that necessary treatments receive authorization approval and are financially covered.

What You’ll Do:

• Establish and maintain effective reporting to measure productivity and staff performance
•  Plan, forecast, and report on staff assignments and productivity levels
• Adjust work functions as necessary to enhance operational efficiency and maximize departmental productivity and output
• Ensure the team's KPIs are in place and reviewed with staff on an on-going basis
• Perform a quality review of staff performance on both teams. Ensure staff meets or exceeds customer expectations and addresses all concerns in a timely manner
• Ensures all Peer-to-Peer requests to providers are necessary and that the Access Center has exhausted all efforts prior to sending a request to practice operations

Who You Are:

• High school diploma or GED
• 2 years of Supervisory or Team lead experience in a Health Care setting, Required
• Knowledge of insurance referrals or Prior Authorization, Required
• Ability to handle a high volume of calls and work in a fast-paced environment
• Epic Experience, Preferred
