Reporting to the SVP/CFO Southern NH Health System, the VP of Physician Finance is responsible for the financial reporting, budgeting, and planning and analysis functions for Foundation Medical Partners, including the oversight of reporting, budgeting, financial projections, and other financial planning activities. The incumbent will work collaboratively with business leaders to develop, implement, and monitor short and long-term strategies to further FMP’s objectives.
What You’ll Do:
Direct, prepare and manage budgeting activities for employed medical groups of Foundation Medical Partners.
Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles; review financial statements, account reconciliations, and other documents to ensure compliance.
Oversee financial planning and analysis work and assist the Executive Team at SNHHS with strategic planning activities for Foundation Medical Partners.
Direct the preparation of supporting information for the annual audit; responsible for the implementation of agreed upon recommendations (related to areas of responsibility) resulting from audit findings.
Work with others with the implementation and design of financial reporting systems as it relates to FMP.
Contribute financial expertise in physician practice strategic financial planning.
Review monthly physician practice financial results and implement meaningful monthly/year-to-date variance reporting.
Direct monthly operating reviews with operational leaders creating bridge plans to return to budgeted goals.
Provide guidance and oversight for practice management reporting systems.
Assist with implementing, updating, and validating/designing financial budget systems.
Assist other finance departments and individuals in dealing with issues and meeting reporting requirements.
Provide financial and accounting advice, direction, and leadership to the finance team in support of department and FMP goals and objectives.
Ensure that the work environment promotes teamwork, collaboration, excellent performance, and personal accountability.
Evaluate the performance of and provide training and development opportunities to staff.
Provide leadership by delegating tasks, responding to staff inquiries, and providing overall direction to employees.
Work with others on the Revenue Cycle performance and review financial and workflow issues as it relates to FMP Practices.
Who You Are:
Education: Bachelors Degree in Administration/Finance or other related field. CPA is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in health-care finance, ideally in a hospital setting, with progressive scope of responsibilities.
