Job Summary:

As a Certified Nurse Midwife at Foundation Medical Partners / Southern NH Health, you will provide compassionate, patient-centered care to women in labor and during their prenatal and postpartum care. You will collaborate with a team of professionals to deliver a safe and nurturing experience for both mother and child. You will also play an important role in educating and empowering patients, assisting in education for students and residents, and maintaining high standards in medical documentation and continuing education.

Key Responsibilities:

Labor & Delivery: Provide care to women in labor, including fetal heart rate monitoring, labor progress assessments, and pain management techniques.

Vaginal Deliveries: Safely and compassionately deliver newborns following established protocols.

Cesarean Sections: Act as first assist during cesarean sections.

Telephone Triage: Provide telephonic triage for obstetric and gynecologic patients.

Patient Education: Educate mothers on breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum recovery.

Complication Management: Identify and manage potential complications during labor and delivery, collaborating with physicians as necessary.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in the EPIC electronic medical record system.

Education & Training: Participate in the education of students and residents in the field of midwifery.

Professional Development: Engage in ongoing education to stay current with advancements in midwifery practice.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Nurse-Midwifery (MSN) from an accredited program.

Certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) by the American Midwifery Certification Corporation (AMCC).

Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery within a hospital setting.

Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and intervention.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while effectively prioritizing tasks.
