About the Job:
As a Patient Registration Specialist, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients arriving via ambulance, walk-in, or scheduled visits. You’ll manage EPIC tracking boards, perform bedside registration, gather demographic and insurance information, and ensure all necessary documentation and copays are collected. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining compliance and delivering exceptional service across various hospital departments.
What You’ll Do:
- Monitor EPIC tracking boards for admissions and registration needs
- Register Direct Admit, Labor & Delivery, and Behavioral Health Unit patients
- Perform bedside registration and collect copays
- Confirm patient demographics and insurance details
- Collect IMM and MOON signatures for Medicare patients
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and DNV/Corporate standards
- Use translation tools for non-English or hearing-impaired patients
- Provide financial information including Charity Care and Self-pay options
- Operate and manage telephone systems
- Attend training sessions for insurance updates
- Assist patients across hospital departments
