About the Job:

Performs inventory control functions and distributes medical supplies and equipment throughout the Health System. Provides receiving, shipping and courier services to the Medical Center. Accepts direction from the Team Leader, Receiving and the Team Leader, Materiel Distribution.

What You’ll Do:

  • Replenishes par level inventories in clean utility rooms, med rooms and supply closets throughout the Medical Center including the West Campus. Replenishes forms throughout the Medical Center.
  • Accurately and efficiently fills supply requisitions and delivers throughout the Medical Center, the surrounding campus and remote locations.
  • Performs inventory control functions, including cycle counts, expiration date verification, rotation of stock, evaluation of space utilization and electronic issuing/crediting of supplies to Health System departments.
  • Transport’s medications, lab specimens, mail, medical records, supplies and equipment throughout the various Health System locations. Picks up, secures and transports bank deposits and change requests (cash and checks) from the Medical Center and the Foundation. Responds to STAT requests for supply and instrument pick-up or delivery for the OR.
  • Receives incoming deliveries, accurately verifying items and quantities and coordinates necessary receiving assistance for capital orders.
  • Ships outgoing packages and keeps proper documentation of all activity.
  • Drives Medical Center vehicle.

Who You Are:

  • High school, GED or equivalent required
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Requires a minimum of one year experience in various aspects of hospital-based material management or comparable experience.
  • Operate a pallet jack, and other materiel moving equipment.
