About the Job:
The Interventional Mammography Tech/Tracking Coordinator ensures timely patient result notifications, proper documentation of radiologist recommendations, and compliance with ACR, MQSA, and FDA standards. This role oversees mammography tracking operations, provides guidance to support staff, and performs a full range of imaging services—including screening, diagnostic, interventional mammography, and bone densitometry exams—with compassion and precision.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee all mammography tracking functions, ensuring timely and accurate patient notifications and follow-up.
- Serve as a resource for mammography tracking support staff, including training and performance feedback.
- Perform high-quality screening, diagnostic, and interventional mammography, as well as bone densitometry exams.
- Assist radiologists with stereotactic and breast needle localization procedures, maintaining sterile technique.
- Ensure compliance with ACR/MQSA/FDA guidelines, radiologist documentation, and departmental protocols.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and effective communication with patients, staff, and providers.
Who You Are:
- ARRT (R)(M) certification required; 3D mammography certification preferred.
- Completion of a two-year AMA-approved radiology program (or equivalent).
- 2–4 years of mammography experience, including at least 2 years in interventional breast biopsy.
- Knowledge of ACR guidelines, MQSA/FDA standards, and breast pathology terminology.
- Proficient in RIS, PACS, and Microsoft applications.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and remain composed in stressful or emotionally charged situations.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
