About the Job:
As a PET/CT Technologist, you will perform a full range of Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT imaging studies while providing compassionate care and ensuring patient safety. You will prepare and administer isotopes, perform high-quality diagnostic exams, and support Radiologists during procedures. This role plays a vital part in both patient care and maintaining compliance with state and federal safety guidelines for radioactive materials.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform all Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT exams according to department protocols
- Review patient histories, obtain consents, and complete documentation
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately
- Monitor and manage “Hot Lab” operations per State of New Hampshire regulations
- Ensure radiation safety practices following ALARA principles
- Operate RIS, PACS, and scheduling systems proficiently
- Provide compassionate, respectful patient care and support
- Assist Radiologists with procedures and train new personnel
- Perform routine quality control procedures for equipment and processes
Who You Are:
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine program
- Certified by ARRT(N) or NMTCB; licensed by the NH Board of Medical Imaging
- Willing to obtain PET Certification within 18 months of hire
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- One to two years of Nuclear Medicine and/or PET/CT experience preferred
- Additional ARRT(CT), NMTCB(CT), or NMTCB “PET” certification preferred
