About the Job:

As a Registered Nurse Ambulatory – Orthopedic Surgery, you will provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in a busy orthopedic surgical practice. Reporting to the Practice Manager and working alongside orthopedic surgeons and advanced practice providers, you will support a wide range of patient needs—from pre-operative education and clinical assessments to post-operative care and follow-up. Your role is essential in ensuring smooth coordination between surgical planning and outpatient care delivery.


What You’ll Do:

  • Perform nursing assessments, telephone triage, and pre-/post-op education for orthopedic patients
  • Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans
  • Assist with in-office procedures and treatments within scope of practice
  • Administer prescribed medications, injections, and vaccines; perform point-of-care testing
  • Educate patients on pain management, mobility aids, wound care, and rehabilitation expectations
  • Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Participate in pre-visit planning to ensure optimal patient flow and care delivery
  • Serve as a resource to other clinical staff and provide mentorship to new hires


Who You Are:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse in NH (required)
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate required; BSN preferred)
  • CPR/BLS certified
  • Orthopedic or ambulatory surgery experience preferred
  • Skilled communicator with strong patient education and triage abilities
  • Proficient with EMR systems and able to manage a fast-paced clinic environment
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about high-quality surgical care
