About the Job:

The Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis is a strategic leadership role within the Foundation Medical Partners (FMP) Accounting Department. This position is responsible for driving the organization's financial planning processes, including the coordination and execution of the annual budget, forecasting, and long-range financial planning. The role also plays a critical part in supporting business decisions through insightful financial analysis, reporting, and modeling.

Working closely with department heads and executive leadership, the FP&A Manager ensures financial targets align with strategic goals and operational needs. The role requires a blend of analytical acumen, attention to detail, and leadership capability to guide the accounting team and collaborate across departments. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is motivated by making data-driven contributions to the organization’s success.

The position reports to the Director of Accounting and is primarily on-site, though flexible remote work may be approved based on business needs.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and coordinate the annual budget and projection processes across departments.
  • Provide budget training and support to department heads.
  • Perform in-depth review and analysis of budgets to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Supervise variance analysis and manage monthly financial reporting.
  • Generate customized reports for Monthly Operating Reviews and strategic decision-making.
  • Manage ad hoc financial planning and analysis for strategic initiatives.
  • Provide direction and feedback to the accounting team, promoting a collaborative and accountable work environment.

Who You Are:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required); Master’s degree in Business (preferred).
  • Experience: 5–7 years in accounting with management responsibilities; experience in healthcare accounting is preferred.
  • Certifications: CPA (preferred).
  • Knowledge & Skills: Strong grasp of GAAP and payroll regulations. Solid understanding of financial systems. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
