Southern New Hampshire Medical Center’s Laboratory (lab) is a fully accredited hospital laboratory. State-of-the-art technology enables doctors to provide our patients with the most accurate diagnoses and the most effective treatment.

About the Job:

Greets and assists patient and customer population. Explains laboratory protocol and procedures, specimens needed, and provides test information. Collects patient demographic, insurance and billing information and enters data into the Hospital Information Systems. Assists in Processing Specimen Drop-offs.

What You’ll Do:

• Greets and assists patient and customer population.
• Explains Laboratory protocol and procedures, specimen needs, and information requirements to patients, hospital departments, physician offices, physicians, other hospital and laboratories.
• Accurately keys and records data into the Hospital Information Systems.
• Maintains an organized, professional administrative work area.
• Follows guidelines for Quality Management and Improvement
• Ability to multi-task Ability to work alone and make appropriate decisions following Laboratory guidelines. Detail oriented. Flexible/adaptable to many changes

Who You Are:

• High School Education and medical terminology
• Computer and/or keyboarding experience required.
• Proven excellent customer service skills
• Problem solving skills
