About the Job:
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the oversight and execution of complex, high-impact strategic initiatives that advance Southern New Hampshire Health’s mission and operational excellence. It requires a seasoned professional with demonstrated expertise in project management, particularly within service-oriented environments such as healthcare. The role involves leading cross-functional teams through all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder expectations. It demands strategic thinking, autonomy, and strong interpersonal skills, along with the ability to coach and mentor others in project management methodologies.
Location & Hours:
This is a full-time, exempt position based on-site at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, in Nashua, NH, with situational flexibility for remote work as approved by leadership. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility on either end (e.g., 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM) to accommodate operational needs and collaborative engagements.
What You’ll Do:
Lead and manage strategic projects from initiation to closure, ensuring scope, budget, and timeline are met.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, including clinical, IT, finance, and external vendors.
Develop detailed project plans with milestones, deliverables, risk management strategies, and communication plans.
Monitor progress, identify issues, and implement solutions to maintain project momentum.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare and present status reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Facilitate change management processes to support successful implementation and adoption.
Manage budgets, including forecasting, tracking expenditures, and reporting variances.
Mentor and guide team members to promote professional growth and development.
Support the development and management of the Project Management Office (PMO).
Provide coaching, mentoring, and training on project management methodology, tools, and templates.
Who You Are / Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or a closely related field required, Master’s degree preferred
Licensure/Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent required
Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of project management experience, preferably in healthcare or a service-oriented environment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Advanced understanding of healthcare systems, processes, and regulations
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite
Effective stakeholder management and negotiation
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Experience in coaching and training others in project management practices is highly desirable
