About the Job:

Supervise all technical, quality and business activities of the Hematology/Urinalysis/Coagulation department(s) to provide the highest quality testing, customer service and patient care.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage personnel to provide appropriate coverage, training and feedback.
  • Demonstrate and maintain clinical laboratory technical knowledge.
  • Maintain regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor quality assurance and establishes laboratory process and procedures.
  • Work independently to present new opportunities, solve problems, and resolve personnel challenges.
  • Prepare and maintain fiscal budget.
  • Work collaboratively to promote teamwork.
  • Participate in department meetings, e-mail review and follows HIPAA, safety, and accreditation requirements

Who You Are:

  • Associate degree in MLS/Medical Technology preferred. Associate degree in MLS/Medical Technology or related science, or successful completion of military training and served as a medical laboratory specialist required.
  • ASCP registry, or equivalent preferred. Exam eligible required.
  • 1 year Laboratory experience preferred. Internship in approved CLSI training program required.
