About the Job:

As a Total Rewards Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the organization’s Compensation, Benefits, and Retirement programs. Reporting to the Manager of Total Rewards, this role is a blend of project management and day-to-day operations, providing cross-functional support and ensuring the smooth execution of Total Rewards initiatives. You’ll be instrumental in maintaining data integrity, supporting HRIS processes, and helping drive employee engagement through strategic rewards programming.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support ongoing projects and daily operations across Compensation, Benefits, and Retirement functions.

  • Maintain the Total Rewards intranet site and support communication efforts.

  • Coordinate and assist with Total Rewards educational sessions for employees.

  • Conduct regular audits in the HRIS system to ensure data accuracy and compliance.

  • Generate standard HR reports for internal stakeholders and leadership.

  • Research and report on emerging trends in total rewards to support strategic planning.

  • Assist in evaluating vendors and new offerings to enhance the organization’s rewards strategy.

  • Act as a team lead or subject matter expert on assigned Total Rewards committees (e.g., Total Compensation Statements, Bereavement Policy, Engagement Survey).

Compensation Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update the job description library.

  • Assist in compensation market survey data collection and submission.

  • Support the development and maintenance of job profiles in Workday.

  • Ensure compensation-related data is accurately maintained in the HRIS system.

Benefits Responsibilities:

  • Assist with employee benefits setup, life event processing, and terminations.

  • Respond to general benefits inquiries and support the open enrollment process.

  • Manage scheduling, communications, and data entry for benefits events.

  • Reconcile benefits invoices and ensure timely vendor payments.

Retirement Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support for all retirement plans.

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding retirement plan features.

  • Assist with plan communications, audits, and educational sessions.

  • Support payroll deduction reconciliation and contribution processing.

Who You Are / Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (required).

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting Compensation, Benefits, or Retirement functions.

  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws such as FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and Title VII.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with HRIS platforms like Workday (preferred).

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Professional certification in Benefits, Compensation, or Retirement (preferred).
