About the Job:
The Vice President, Revenue Cycle Services is a key member of the financial leadership team, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. This executive-level role is responsible for the strategic oversight and operational performance of Southern New Hampshire Health’s entire revenue cycle—from patient registration and insurance verification to billing, coding, collections, and reimbursement. The position oversees revenue cycle operations across all care settings, including acute care, outpatient services, and Foundation Medical Partners’ medical practices.
The Vice President will lead a multidisciplinary team and serve as a trusted advisor and internal expert on all aspects of revenue cycle management. This role drives initiatives to ensure revenue integrity, reduce denials, improve financial outcomes, and support an outstanding patient financial experience. The Vice President will also be instrumental in leading integration efforts, leveraging technology to streamline processes, and aligning financial operations with the organization’s broader clinical and strategic goals.
In addition to day-to-day leadership, this role works closely with system leaders in finance, technology, operations, compliance, and clinical departments to develop and enforce revenue-related policies, guide performance metrics, and foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration.
What You’ll Do:
Oversee billing, coding, collections, reimbursement, and overall revenue integrity.
Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue, reduce denials, and improve cash flow.
Lead and mentor the Revenue Cycle leadership team, supporting performance improvement and accountability.
Monitor KPIs, implement process improvements, and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.
Establish strong partnerships with third-party vendors and monitor performance metrics and contractual adherence.
Serve as a key internal consultant, building bridges between clinical and revenue cycle functions to support quality care and financial sustainability.
Collaborate across departments—finance, IT, operations, and clinical—to align revenue cycle operations with strategic goals.
Oversee policy development, annual budgeting, risk mitigation, and staff recruitment within Revenue Cycle Services.
Participate in key health system committees and support organization-wide initiatives.
Who You Are / Requirements:
A strategic, results-driven leader with a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field.
A minimum of 7 years of experience managing healthcare revenue cycle operations, with progressive leadership responsibility.
Progressive leadership roles in Revenue Cycle management within the areas of hospital and physician practice revenue cycle operations preferred.
Skilled in analytics, performance monitoring, vendor management, and process improvement.
An effective communicator and collaborator with a deep understanding of billing, coding, reimbursement, and regulatory compliance.
Committed to operational excellence, patient experience, and building strong cross-functional relationships.
